The Buigerij has been transformed into housing. Three facades (and a number of striking details) of the former pipe bending plant have been retained. An extensive residential program has been realized within these three facades, with parking and storage rooms on the ground floor and living on three floors above. Van Gameren often uses collective space as a buffer between public and private areas. At the Buigerij, the appartments are enclosed by leaving space between the original facade and the houses.
