This tough building from the 1960s has been tranformered into an energy-efficient university building. The former main building of the Eindhoven University of Technology had one of the first curtain walls in the Netherlands. The client initially assumed that the building would be completely stripped. By retaining the steel facade construction, reusing the intermediate floors and reducing the spaciousness of the substructure, the architectural quality of the original design has been preserved and re-experienced.
